Fantastic joint display of Australian army and air force. At the front we have MRH-90 plus 2x Eurocopter Tiger ARH (Australian Army), above C-17 RAAF (Avalon Air Show 2015).
Australian "Mosquito" from 1945 under restauration in RAAF Museum near Melbourne. You can read its history here http://www.aussiemossie.asn.au/index_files/Page1595.htm.
These walruses from 1930s were used by RAAF as reconnaissance aircraft, able to take off from a warship. This piece had a fierce history: in October 1947, it was assigned to RAAF's Antarctic Flight, painted in yellow and deployed at the first postwar Australian expedition to the Antarctic region. However, it flew only once and during a storm in December of that year at Heard Island was completely destroyed. Only in 1980 was the aircraft recovered and brought back to Australia. Restauration lasted ten years, and since 2002 it is exhibited here.
