American Airlines Today anounced opening of a new service connecting Prague and Philadeplhia, PA - effective May 2018. Daily service operated by Boeing 767-300 is scheduled to depart Philadelphia 6:30pm with arrival to Prague 9:05am next day. Return flight will leave Prague 11:30 and is scheduled to land to Philadelphia 3:10pm.
MoreQatar Airways announced speed-up with opening their DOH-PRG route. Daily direct service will be flown by Airbus A320 (config 12C132Y) from August 21st 2017. MoreThe Romanian low-cost company Blue Air joins Travel Service, El Al (Up) and Wizz Air on the Tel Aviv-Prague route on June 15th. There will be two weekly flights, Thursday and Sunday afternoon. The 0B 9946/7 flights (0B 9976/7 on Sunday) fly as follows: Tel Aviv 14:30 – Prague 17:30/18:20 – Tel Aviv 23:20, with a B737-400. MoreVietnam Airlines plans to launch direct Hanoi-Prague flights. The company announced the plans in state television VTV4. There is also a possibility of launching the route via another city in Europe. Although no launch date was announced, rumors are that the flights should begin later this year. The company would use Boeing 787-9 or Airbus A350-900 equipment.

Irish Ryanair anounced Today eight new routes from Prague. New destinations are Barcelona (daily), Bologna (3x weekly), Budapest (5x weekly), Edinburgh (3x weekly), Eindhoven (daily), Krakov (2x weekly), Madrid (4x weekly) and Malaga (2x weekly). Added frequencies were anounced for London Standsted (2x daily) and Liverpool. Number of rotations at Prague Vaclav Havel Airport will be more than doubled, but number of planes on Prague base will stay at two.
MoreWizz Air announced new flights from Prague to ReykjavÃk, scheduled to commence on May 31th, 2017. An Airbus A320 takes off every Wednesday and Sunday at 06:30 from Prague as W6 2723, lands in ReykjavÃk at 8:40 local time, takes off again at 9:20 as W6 2724 and returns to Prague at 15:05 local time. The flights are available on the carrier's site until the end of summer timetable.

MoreTravel Service announced the results for 2016. 6.3 million passengers (+9.6%) have been transported on 46,577 flights, including 1.9 million (+25%) on SmartWings flights. 2.7 million passengers used the charter flights and 1.7 million the Travel Service aircraft flying for other airlines. New SmartWings routes will be opened to Lyon (from March 30th, Thu and Sun), Almeria (from Apr 6th, Thu and Sun) and Menorca (from end May, Wed, Sat and Sun).
MoreKorean Air announced using Boeing 747-8i on the Seoul-Prague route for the whole S17 period. From march 27th till October 28th 2017, a 747-8i leaves Seoul at 12:45 every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, spends the time between 16:50 and 18:50 at Prague-Ruzyne and lands home at 11:50 the next day. Korean got their first 747-8i in August 2015 and these planes were used on the Prague route at high season of 2016.
